MDM is currently seeking qualified, self motivated candidates for the following positions:
Transportation Engineer - Entry Level
Marlborough, Massachusetts
Position entails assisting senior transportation engineering staff in preparation of corridor studies, transportation impact assessment for land development projects, parking evaluations, conceptual roadway improvement plans, MassDOT permitting and state/local permitting applications and public process. Responsibilities will include coordination and deployment of Miovision and Jamar data collection equipment and associated data processing; analysis using Synchro and VISSIM modeling software (training provided); preparation of technical reports, exhibits and applications under direction of senior engineers; support for conceptual improvement plans including application of basic AutoCAD techniques and model software (AutoTurn). Essential skills involve team-oriented perspective and desire to learn multi-faceted aspects of Transportation Engineering; prior experience with AutoCAD and traffic modeling software is preferred but not essential. Applicants must obtain a BSCE from a 4-year accredited university by time of employment.

Sr. Project Engineer/Manager - Transportation/Design & Construction
Marlborough, Massachusetts
Position involves senior-level design and project management for roadway and intersection improvements following MassDOT protocols including preparation and oversight of engineering design plans from concept through PS&E including specifications, construction cost estimates and bid documents. Candidate will also participate in resident engineering services including oversight and management of MassWorks grant projects and privately funded infrastructure projects on state highway permitted through the MassDOT Access Permit process.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MassDOT design standards and construction administration experience for roadway and signal improvement projects is required. Minimum qualifications include BSCE, 15-20 years professional work experience and excellent organizational and written/verbal skills. Professional registration preferred.
Project Engineer - Transportation Design
Marlborough, Massachusetts
Position involves design of roadway and intersection improvements following MassDOT protocols including preparation of engineering design plans from concept through PS&E including specifications, construction cost estimates and bid documents. Candidate will facilitate and participate in permit application submittals and support for resident engineering services working with senior design staff/project managers with the goal of advancing Candidate to a senior design engineer roll.
Fluency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; familiarity with MassDOT design standards for roadway and signal improvement projects is preferred but not required. Minimum qualifications include BSCE, 5-8 years professional work experience and excellent organizational and written/verbal skills. Candidate should be working toward professional registration with the goal of attaining registration within one year of hire.
